Isolated Stalk--Unknown

These stalks provided a thick forest to shoot through. There were only a few yellow flowers in bloom at the time. I think they were all about 6-7 feet tall. I'm sure that it's harder to identify them without the flowers, but does anyone know what they are? Thank you for viewing my photos.
